Professional athletes do not deserve the high salaries they are paid. 36 million a season to play basketball? The President of the United States makes only 250,000 a year. Do sports players get paid too much so ticket prices go up or does one affect the other? Is money ruining sports?
Professional athletes deserve to be paid whatever they earn. Players salaries depend on the size of the revenue pool. 95% if revenue in the NFL comes from gate receipts and television contracts. Tickets are not based on salaries. Salaries are based on tickets. How does supply and demand affect athletes salaries.
